The Rescue Mid is the replacement for the original rescue club from TaylorMade that started off a new category of clubs.
Although not as good out of the rough as it's predecessor, the Rescue Mid is much better from the tee or off the fairway. It provides much more forgiveness with it's wider and deeper head design.
The deeper steel head is a bit more wood than iron and as a result the ball flight is a little higher. The shaft is a little shorter than the equivalent fairway wood, but with some of the lower lofted options you can drop the 2, 3 or even 4 iron from your bag.
The contact feels good and generally it is a good club, but looks wise we think it could be better.
The Rescue Mid also comes in a TP version aimed firmly for the better player. The TP version has a reduced offset with a lower centre of gravity that produces a much more penetrating flight than the standard club and better players will like the aggressive feel from the clubhead. You really feel you can play whatever shot you like with this club.
